Ceramic bearing balls - all types of ceramic materials available
Ceramic bearing balls are made from various ceramic materials including Silicon Carbide (Sic), Aluminium Oxide (Al203 - Aluminium Trioxide) and Zirconium Oxide (Zr02). RGP is one of the very few ceramic balls manufacturers to also offer ceramic bearing balls made of high-quality Silicon Nitride (Si3N4) and produced according to ASTM F 2094 Class II standards. Their unique properties make them the ideal option when lightweight balls that are stronger and more durable than steel are required. Bearing balls made from all types of ceramic materials are available in a range of ball grades and sizes. Aluminium oxide ceramic balls have a polycrystalline structure and are lightweight and auto lubricating. Zirconium Oxide balls improve hardness with repeated collision, while Silicon Carbide balls are ideal for high-temperature applications.
